The Girls Shopped

There're like 1001 stores at every night market and shopping area selling shoes and bags for women. A dazzling area of colors and styles available to boggle your mind and meet most preferences. But the shops more or less sold similar items. It's as if they sourced from the same wholesale suppliers. H and A loved the prices of the ballet-style flats which ranged between NTD250 to NTD400. They actually needed replacements for whatever they brought to Taipei because the soles were literally falling off.

H needed bags too. Nothing fancy. Purely utilitarian would do. Monotones wanted. She opted for cheap replacements for her bags that had torn straps or wonky clasps. She wasn't at all interested in paying more for a bag that she was going to drag all over the floor and whatnots.

Perfectly happy with my one pair of new boots that have been broken in, and now very comfortable. I don't need shoes at all. No more space at home for another pair of shoes. If nothing gets thrown out, nothing gets bought in. Same goes for bags. Too many bags. Enough to last two lifetimes. Could have gone back to the hotel to chill out. But I needed to walk though. Had to digest dinner. I wasn't such an alcoholic to abandon them to go sit in a bar for a drink. (Actually, if they had shopped for another 30 minutes, I would have. That, would have killed me.) No gigs to hop into either for some nights. While the girls wandered around the stores, I amused myself by taking photos, checking out the streets and people-watching. Not too bad.
