London, More So Now

It's been an awesome time spent with friends. The acquaintances, negligible. :P The other bff's in a similar timezone, and is just a short flight away. But she refuses to come to London to party with us. Hmmmmph. Never mind. I'll see her soon enough, especially if Swedish Mafia House's gig at home in January is a big enough lure. Otherwise, I'll simply turn up in Shanghai next month.

This bff is off for her Christmas and New Year holidays. Almost tempted to follow her to Mumbai to visit her extended family. But I've to babysit host the Aunts who're flying back with me to Singapore for their overdue visit to the country; their first in three decades! The bff and I decided that we should hop into India next year. Find time! The man and I were saying, to start with Kerala, since through the stories our friends shared, that's the most familiar city in India to us. Such an easy time slipping into a familiar rhythm of meets and face-to-face conversation with the bff. We refuse to whatsapp or skype-message each other at length when both of us are in the same city. Those communication platforms are purely for arranging meeting times/venues; we quickly get off it, and get to the designated meeting point. This bff isn't on any sort of social media platforms at all. Well done!

London is almost like a second home to me. I've to confess that at this age, I'm more fond of London than New York City, a city where I've spent an equal amount of time in (when I was younger), where other loved ones live. (I ought to head up to NYC) For some reason, over the years, London has come to appeal slightly more. Well, this is also because the man has got his favorite GrandAunt, fun Aunts and Uncles here too. While we've got our separate experiences and memories of London, it's always a pleasure to hop into this city to crash someone's dining table(s) together. :)
