Bukruk Street Art Festival

Alex Face by Thailand's graffiti artist Patcharapon Tangruen.

Attended the opening party of Bukruk Street Art Festival at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC). This is the inaugural edition of the Festival that symbolizes the cooperation between Europe and Thailand, with 16 European artists and 11 Thai artists presenting their works in the art space.

The exhibition has been themed a 'Pop Up' shop thingy. The exhibition space curates the Bukruk artists' works of objects, prints, paintings, sculptures and installations. It was a lot of fun meeting old friends, schoolmates and generally getting together. Adjourned to drinks after. It was good mingling, but there were simply too many people pouring in. I'm a tourist! While I determinedly stopped at every piece to take it in, it wasn't very nice to linger as there were others wanting to take a closer look too.

Very hipster, very cool, very mod, very now. Absolutely visual. Loved the riot of colors, ideas and conceptual space and themes. All rather exciting.

Hell Yeah by Thailand's Pharuephon 'Mamafaka' Mukdasanit.
