Go, Tea!

Bright and early, I flipped through the papers. Yes, yes, as much as I prefer the digital version, sometimes I read hard copies. Might as well go through them when they're delivered to the doorstep. Anyway, I was most interested in this article on WSJ titled 'Where It's Easy Drinking Green' where they mentioned about the contemporary tea culture and tea houses in Singapore.

Apparently, many friends also read the article, had the same idea, and decided that it would be brilliant to send me the link because they assumed I wouldn't be awake till like 3pm or something. Hahahaha.

Never have I received so many texts, emails and online nudges pointing out an article before 11am. Hehehehe. It's not exactly a comprehensive article, and it certainly doesn't touch on independent tea shops in town. Anyway, tea culture is in the midst of a certain revival all over the world, not just in terms of blends and presentation, but in terms of how consumers seek to deepen the knowledge of tea, and understand the processes that go into making that one good brew.

A most encouraging trend.
