Thanksgiving 2014 :: Seattle

We're on the same side of the globe, that is all. Making memories to last a lifetime; as long as dementia doesn't rob us of them. Even photos won't be significant then. We know not when we die. But while we live, we make each day count. This bunch of us understands exactly what those words mean. Much love all around this quirky gathering of humans.

At Thanksgiving dinner, somebody told me I've been angsty. Some other people agreed. Well yes. Am still feeling belligerent. Another said, "Remember to be grateful for blessings and stop being grouchy for the season." Okaaaaay. The reading for the evening was Chapter 17 of the Book of Proverbs.

A joyful mind maketh age flourishing: a sorrowful spirit drieth up the bones. The wicked man taketh gifts out of the bosom, that he may pervert the paths of judgment. Wisdom shineth in the face of the wise: the eyes of fools are in the ends of the earth.
~ Book of  Proverbs 17-22-24, Douay-Rheims
