Slides from Indosole

We went out for a satisfying lunch to celebrate Y's birthday. We chose the venue purely because it was accessible to Missy after she gets out of school. There were plenty of gifts, and Y actually handed me one too! A gift for me on her birthday?! Whut. It was a pair of slides from Indosole.

There's nothing to scream about this pair of super practical slides. They're great for casual days. There's also nothing to fault about it. It's eco-friendly, minimalist in design, decently made and are quite comfortable. It appeals to us wanting to 'live and consume consciously'. Indosole was a Bali-only thing till people partnered up to bring it into Singapore, and we obviously get free shipping within the country. Recycling tires into slippers isn't new. Indosole simply has great branding and snazzy marketing — "Soles with Soul".

Y giggled as she confessed how she was drawn to the brand's ad on IG. Teeeeeheheheh. She warned me not to wear it out too long during the first wear because the width of the strap across the soles might not fit the feet too well initially and might bite. I heeded her warning. It wasn't too bad for me. I slathered wax across the edges of the strap. Not much bite there. Importantly, these Indosole waterproof slides have rubber soles (made from waste tires) and slight arch support that's kind to my feet's high arches. Love it!

Now Missy FOMO. Haha. She wants one too.
