I finally gave in to my cravings and opened up a can of............... SPAM. Well, since the man isn't a fan of Ma Ling luncheon meat, I had to use some Spam Lite nonsense from Hormel. He thinks that's a better brand of spam. Hmmmpf. Processed meat is processed to the pits okay. There's no logic in saying that another can holds a better quality of processed mystery meat! Whatever. The contents of Spam Lite was opened up and sliced into cubes.
Made an unbeatable combination of egg and spam fried rice with a ton of spring onions. A touch of shrimp paste and sambal belachan went well with it. Added a side of stir-fried nai bai for nutrition. #ImpieCooks2020 Nowadays, no dinner is complete without a drink riiight? We had cocktails tonight! N had thoughtfully sent us a box of six bottles of cocktails from Shin Gi Tai. Well, we had one each, and chilled the rest for another night.
N knows how much the man enjoys a good cocktail, and he wanted to cheer on Anthony at Shin Gi Tai, a bar that we all like too. #SupportLocal The man LOVED the whole idea of pre-bottled cocktails. He appreciated N's surprise gesture and the well-mixed bottles. He really loves the bar's Negroni, and there was a bottle included in this box. I think he wouldn't have minded if all six bottles held Negroni. Hahahah. I took a bourbon-based Paper Plane, but that was about as much cocktails as I can bear. I'm not a cocktails girl at all. The most I can do is a gin and tonic. And it has to be a London dry. Not a fan of botanicals, not a fan of how bartenders tend to want to creatively fuck up my plain old boring gin and tonic.
