For fun, on a whim, I decided to get personalized Christmas cards printed to send out to the friends. It wasn't difficult to fill up the digital form and set the design. However, the Singapore printers were flooded and couldn't fulfill my order by the desired date. Oddly, a printer in Melbourne, Australia could do it; the hard copies were sent over within a week. Nice.
The cards went out via snail mail and some were delivered by hand. Some of the friends texted cute replies, and some sent me a photo of the card. Hehehe. No no, replies and photos are certainly not an expected gesture. These are people we see regularly, and it's just another way we keep in touch. It's just nice that some did it anyway.
I need to learn to be more gracious this season. It's hard though, in the face of idiocy, and extreme differences of opinions on various... topics that are garbage (imho). If I keep quiet or choose not to comment, that says a lot, so don't force it out of me; you won't like what you hear. I also need to be more skillful at the art of 'ignoring' when it comes to people intruding on my privacy and over-stepping their boundaries on my decisions over matters that shouldn't be of any concern to them. I especially need to learn to be less resentful when these boundaries are breached.
Merry Christmas to you, you and you. Have a blessed season. May grace be with us. Amen.
[36] Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. [37] Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you shall be forgiven. [38] Give, and it shall be given to you: good measure and pressed down and shaken together and running over shall they give into your bosom. For with the same measure that you shall mete withal, it shall be measured to you again.
