Covid-19 Omicron Cleared

After the requisite seven days of Covid-19 isolation at home, the man has exited MOH's 'Home Recovery' Program, and since it isn't required, he also didn't bother to report this into HealthHub. This simply means he's now free resume taking the dog out to the parks and all, and also sit down at a restaurant for a meal or at the coffeeshop.

tbh, with the relaxed restrictions, there's nothing preventing C+ people from walking around and entering a restaurant for a meal, except for their own moral principles and a sense of social responsibility. I sarcastically applaud those who are C+ and could still carry on their usual work schedules for the first three days while burning up with flu, chest and nasal congestion.

It was fortuitous that we had a 'feeling' and didn't bother to fix many important things or a short trip over this Hari Raya Haji long weekend. Imagine all the things we'd have had to cancel or reschedule. We're thankful that the man's symptoms are considered mild. It really could have been worse. I've scheduled an echocardiogram and lung scans, and a serology test for the man next month, just to be on the safe side.

The morning that the man tested negative, we went out for a lovely picnic at Bishan Park. It was surprisingly uncrowded on a public holiday. It was a hot morning, but super breezy. Found shade and sat there for a bagel and coffee. We got there at 9.30am and didn't leave till noon. It was simply awesome to be outdoors to soak all that sunshine and vitamin D. The dog was the happiest. She made many pees and a solid poop. She was zooming all around, and asked for many bowls of iced water. Wheeeeeee. Then she got to chill on the grass, and then on the bench.

In the evening, we didn't bother with getting takeout. The man wanted a beer too. Ahhhhh, his first glass of alcohol in nine days. He passed on the alcohol the moment he felt unwell. So he definitely missed having a cold pint.

We went out to dinner at Lime House Katong. We missed its goat curry and wanted a taste of it. However, the Katong branch of the restaurant uses mutton instead; the menu also stated mutton as the meat in the curry. That was sad. Mutton and goat taste significantly different. Mutton can be rather pungent and strong, even with spices. Goat is wayyy more elegant, and a lot pricier. (The retail price of raw goat meat is similar to venison, perhaps slightly higher even.) Still, the spices were on point, and the curry was still rather satisfying. Perhaps we shall attempt the original Lime House at Jiak Chuan Street to see if its curry offers actual goat meat; its online menu still proudly stated 'goat meat'.

Yes, my ART still indicated negative. Not going to test anymore since I feel perfectly fine. If I didn't get it last week, I'm not going to get it anytime soon. I'd have built more antibodies since the man's viral load was enormous, and it would have tried damn hard to invade my immune system. Till the next virus's next insidious assault then. I wouldn't mind a second booster IF that's the improved and tweaked vaccine targeting Omicron variants. Otherwise, there's no point in me taking the another identical shot of Pfizer/Moderna.
