Mentaiko Pasta with Red Snapper

It was the man's turn to cook dinner. Pasta it was to be for dinner. I'm not particularly proficient in cooking fancy pasta. I could do tonight's dinner, but why bother when the man volunteered. Hahahah. We had some ingredients, but I had to stop by Meidi-ya to get the main items for him since he was occupied at the gym. Especially the fish and the mentaiko. Okaaaaay. Oof!

Mentaiko was easily bought since there were always stocks. We wouldn't be able to use three pieces. That would be too overpowering. We used two, and froze the last piece for another day. The man didn't have a specific want for the type of fish; it all depended on what was available at the supermarket. There were plenty of fresh fillets of red snapper. Done! Chose the smallest fillet. The man simply pan-fried it. A small packet of baby spinach and half a box of tomatoes were sufficient for us. Nothing went to waste. We ate it all up.

Dinner was mentaiko tossed with spaghetti and a sous vide egg. That was accompanied by a fillet of red snapper, and a side of wilted baby spinach and tomatoes. It was a rather hearty dinner. I gave the man half of my fish because I wanted to eat more pasta. There was nothing gourmet about dinner. It was simply filling, and really satisfying as a home cooked meal.
