On a morning when the dog woke me up at 6.30am because of incoming rain clouds, it was not possible to go back to sleep. Since I was up and about, I decided to cook a simple breakfast for the man. We didn't buy any Asian buns or siew mai or idly this week to keep in the fridge. He has decimated the curry puffs bought from Soon Soon Huat on Sunday.
Luckily, the fridge does have something at any one time. It held some vegetables that needed to be eaten before they turned bad. Eggs, tomatoes, sweet peppers. Threw in a few leaves of bok choi from the grower. There were also frozen sausages. Thawed out two small ones, both of which I had no idea what meat they were supposed to be. Pork? They're chipolatas for sure. Anyway, they're sausages. Mystery meats. 😂 An all-in rojak omelette it was then. #ImpieCooks2022
The man wasn't hungry and didn't need bread or a pita to go with the meal. He was happy with just the omelette, a dash of hot sauce and sriracha. I took a small bit to taste. Didn't mind a bite since I was heading out to the gym. Since the man is a breakfast person, a hot breakfast for him would fortify against eeky emails and another long day at work.
