I had a craving for pasta carbonara, and it was convenient for us to stop by LINO for dinner. LINO's version always hits a spot. Its Binjai Park outlet is great because I don't have to worry about the weather or if it's storming. The sheltered al fresco area is practical and usually breezy, and in a storm, it keeps humans + floofs dry.
It was raining tonight, and the floof was anxious. But the thunder didn't roll, so she held it it in. The anxiety petered off to nervousness, and she was still comforted by our presence. At least she didn't start climbing up on me, which is always an indication of her anxiety level. I wrapped the raincoat around her to keep her feeling secure, and of course, to keep the dampness at bay.
The $42 three-course set dinner menu isn't available on weekends. But the restaurant's food is so decent that we didn't mind paying its regular menu prices, especially when it legitimately accommodates dogs. The man wanted clams in white wine, and also had a lamb ragout garganelli with eggplant caviar, tomatoes, rosemary and parmesan.
I love carbs and I can't do without them, and most of all, I really love pasta. It's not difficult to whip up a good bowl of something hearty, but it's not easy either. This ain't instant noodles. My carbonara chitarra was gorgeous and awesome. The egg yolk broken and stirred in was soooo good. I was so pleased with it. This plate of pasta checked off every craving for a proper iteration.
