J Finally Tasted Kamoshita's Delicious Tai Meshi

Time to celebrate the closure of a satisfying stint at work, and the beginning of a new chapter for J. We went out to dinner at Kamoshita! It was exciting because I rarely meet her in the night. Hahaha. We keep getting lunch and coffee. Kamoshita only opens in the nights. Thrilled that we made it to dinner and drinks!

The afternoon rains made it a good night for oden and fried chicken. Heh. We shared a portion of an oden omakase, which comprised five food items. Tonight, there were tomatoes, daikon, eggs, Konnyaku noodles and tofu. All the broth in the bowls was beautiful. Slurped them up. Added a small selection of Japanese cheese and a jar of the restaurant's homemade cold tofu. Also ordered a portion of fried chicken; we packed some of it home for J.

We were totally here for the sea bream rice (鯛めし). It was J's first visit to Kamoshita and she must have this rice. J got there five minutes before I did and she quickly put in that order since it required like 45 minutes to prep and serve. It was totally worth the wait. Beautifully cooked in a donabe, the rice tonight was delicious. We couldn't finish the rice, but we knew that. We totally intended to pack a portion for J to have it the next day. She loved it!
