Of course we had to have dinner at Tomahawk in celebration of Choya's birthday. The restaurant has opened a new outlet smack in the middle of Raffles Place. But it's still only this Novena Gardens location that's pet-friendly. Also, when Choya is the face of their October banner, she should show up. Hahaha.
We didn't need to go there on the actual date, as long as we made it there in celebration of her birthday. The man and I haven't been to Tomahawk much this year. I was trying to manage my IBS and didn't want an overdose of beef, as much as I like it. Since they changed names and the theme of their food, there's only been well, tomahawks and more beef, and shellfish. They took away the grouper at this outlet. It's now a steakhouse. It's not a menu that I can stomach anymore. Sure, there's Caesar's salad and such on the menu, but I'd need to go with a group of carnivores to balance out the food.
Dinner was filling! Opted for wine with the meal to linger over it as a dessert. Didn't want an extra pie-sugar-form of dessert, but one arrived anyway and we didn't want to be rude and leave it untouched — a vanilla soufflé with dark chocolate gelato turned up with compliments from the kitchen.
The restaurant wasn't that crowded and the other three small dogs there didn't bother Choya too much and knew to leave her alone after the initial meet and greet. So she was happy. The rain cleared and she wasn't anxious about anything. She didn't know what the fuss was about when I put on a party for her to take photos. But she obliged. What a sweet girl. Oof.
