E and D were back in town for a visit. Time must be made to gather for an easy meal. I couldn't do dinner for these few nights. But I could do lunch, and they asked to see Choya too. Heh! Alrighty. Found a date and a sheltered venue. Couldn't be more appreciative that the friends zipped down to Canton Paradise at Star Vista for lunch.
There were a few baskets of dim sum, of course, but we could also opt for other mains. Figured that they would be overloaded with roast duck and chicken on this trip. I skipped those today; didn't bother with char siew or siew yoke either. Ordered some dim sum items, prawn wontons in soup, and shared congee and noodles of brisket and tendon. Didn't even bother with egg fried rice or the stir-fried vermicelli.
This table eats chicken feet! Bahahaha. Braised chicken feet done Cantonese style are delicious. Thought about a fish in the form of a fillet of flounder, but decided against it. Had spare ribs, and sweet and sour pork, There were also loads of vegetables in the form of easy stir-fry of spinach, kai lan and such with minced garlic. Might have over-ordered. Teeheheheh. Aaaah, nothing was wasted — I happily tapau-ed the leftovers.
As I looked at this date, I smiled. It was totally coincidental that we met last year at Thanksgiving too. Ahhhh.... Friendship. 🩵
Dunno who wrote the memo. But we were all in blue and white. |
