E gifted us two tiny palm-sized pumpkins last week. I roasted one for the humans as a snack and Choya had some. I almost forgot about the second pumpkin till today. Took Maya and Ivy (the pomskies) out for the walks, and Maya had mushy poop. I wouldn't call it diarrhea, but it shouldn't be ignored. Pumpkin should do its magic for that.
Steamed it up for the floofs as a topper for their food, and for additional fibre. One whole tiny pumpkin would still be too much for Choya even if I freeze them. Sharing it with Maya and Ivy would do justice to it; nothing would be wasted.
One tiny pumpkin yielded two little tubs for Choya — one tub to freeze and the other to be eaten over two days. The rest would be given to the pomskies for four meals. Even 18-kg Maya doesn't need to eat that much pumpkin in a meal. Just a generous dollop works.
While the stove was hot, I might as well fry up some eggs for them too. Snipped off bits of bok choi happily growing in the pods and threw them into the omelette. Floofs love eggs too, and they definitely would quaff down eggs done this way. Made enough as toppers for two meals for three floofs.
