Pasta at D.O.P

I've decided not to post out Christmas cards this year. I'll just send digital greetings and pen a long-ish text. I'm too lazy to keep it up this year regardless whether it's for friends living in Singapore or overseas. For those I'm totally looking forward to seeing in person this season, I've already written cards for them and stuck them on the various little gifts.

Glad to be able to catch V before she flies out for Christmas and New Year. The dependable D.O.P was our choice tonight for dinner. It was raining in the evening, so the restaurant's sheltered al fresco tables are conducive to the mad weather these two months.

Pasta tonight was our choice of food. House-made scialatielli amatriciana and guanciale done spicy, and a linguine with prawns and bottarga. We shared them, so we got to taste both! Heh. Best way of sharing a meal together. A bottle of easy and happy prosecco accompanied the meal and the conversation. I eased off the alcohol since I've had a bit too much these two weeks. But three glasses were absolutely pleasing to round up the night!
