Pork & Prawn Meatballs

While we pop by Beastly Girls for brunch, we've also been stopping by for its super savory 'After Dark' menu on Friday and Saturday nights. We've enjoyed Lynn's food so much. But this is her first foray into F&B as a co-owner and chef after years as a corporate rat. This is a passion project after all, so I don't know if the owners would be continuing with it when the lease is up for renewal. Rental for businesses is mad in this city, and the operation costs are so high for the F&B sector.

That night we wanted some dinner, but didn't feel like something too heavy. Casual would be great. Off to Beastly Girls it was. They had easy choices of wine too that went well with the small nibbles. I love the night menu's pork and prawn meatballs. Mmmm. The meatballs are quite big and one portion holds three pieces. Decided that I wasn't going to share. Ordered two portions of that.

Ordered smoked eggplant and some skewers. Chicken tongue, wagyu beef, and beef tongue skewers. I love the beef tongue skewers. Few places offer beef tongue anything, and even fewer places do this cut of offal well. So Beastly Girls do their beef tongue on a cubano too, in the day.

The man needed a little more food to fill his stomach. Instead of repeating the skewers or getting wedges, he got a burger instead. I was quite stuffed by then, so I only had two bites of it. Hehehe. We easily polished off a bottle of red. It was breezy and cool that night but it remained dry. The 5pm storm that whipped the west and Bukit Timah, Robertson Quay and Novena didn't get to Katong. Whewww.
