Peking Duck Time!

It was time for Peking duck! V and I toddled to Imperial Treasure Super Peking Duck to eat our fill. It's a tad indulgent for two persons to have a whole duck. But the restaurant doesn't serve half a duck. It has to be a whole duck or nothing. A whole duck it is!

I love love love duck breast. Peking duck breast is lean and so tasty. I don't fully bother with the skin of the thighs or even all of the breast. I just eat a few pieces. To be very honest, we could mostly finish the duck's lean meat. The end bits are then stir-fried into mee pok, and we could just tapau that home if the carbs get too much. This is also the only manner in which I would eat mee pok. It's not my fav kind of noodle. Ha! The restaurant's version of shredded duck mee pok stir-fry is delicious though.

I tend to also get vegetables in this meal for two. I like vegetables and would like to have them in an Asian restaurant. Got a long-bean stir-fry with minced pork tonight. We could do vegetables easy. But whether we could still stomach a soup is totally dependent on our hunger level for the day. Tonight, we couldn't fit in soup. Not when we also brought a bottle of wine. I'm not keen on the wine list at this restaurant, and I very much prefer paying corkage of S$60++ for a bottle of wine that I actually like.
