A Whole Tomahawk for Us!

We were just supposed to pop over for a visit and easy drinks. Then the girlfriend decided to feed us too. She's way generous and loving lah. Everyone's been super busy, and the friends have been traveling. Sure we do text each other, but nothing beats catching over quickly IRL. So many things have happened and so much going on. We're all thankful for this trusted circle of friendship.

The kiddos picked up from right where they left off. They greeted each other, then went to found their own separate spaces. Until the cheeseboard came out, then they were really interested in what we were nibbling on. I tried to bribe them with blueberries. They weren't having it. Had to share bits of pecorino with them.

A whole tomahawk shared between us worked well. It was beautifully grilled medium. Had sides of greens in the form of roasted asparagus and broccolini, and a salad of rocket, avocado and cucumbers. Couldn't resist having two servings of the white corn too. It was super sweet. That was really dessert for me! Nobody wanted too much carbs.

This was such a superb dinner. It's always a treat to be fed by homecooked food. The effort, the thought, and the love. We appreciate that so much.
