Champagne at Chop Suey

I really like Chop Suey's menu. Its 'fancy hotel-style' Asian food works very well by me. The kitchen does the items well. It doesn't try to be too inventive, but it's really decent, offering vegetarian and gluten-free options that the friends and I appreciate. We also like its reasonable drinks menu. I do like its non-alcoholic sodas and teas.

Well, the Dempsey location is beautiful too. Of course I always sit al fresco. Whenever they can, they offer Choya the round table on the inside so that she wouldn't get wet even when it storms. They know that she prefers the floor. They also put out the fans for us so that the mozzies are kept at bay and ventilate the area so that the humidity bearable.

Tonight felt like a champagne sort of night. It wouldn't be difficult to polish off a bottle between S and I. We don't mind ordering a few items. We're resigned to having to pack away leftovers to-go at the end of the night. LOLOLOL Had to have the pad thai salad. That was pretty refreshing. Then we had the mud crab multi-grain fried rice, the australian crimson snapper with sauces on the side, and chilli jam prawns with crispy egg clouds

We even made it to dessert. Wow. It was an absolutely satisfying dinner. I only wished that they do a better sambal belachan and a spicier chilli. Ooof. We didn't over-eat since we knew we would pack home half the food. Ahahahah. Well, I packed them home since S declined them. Food would never be wasted in my kitchen.
