We're squeezing in as many visits to Rempapa at its Paya Lebar Square location before October 5. After that, it's closing and moving over to National Gallery. Of course we humans could still visit. But Choya no longer can.
Rempapa now has a lovely al fresco area that welcomes dogs. They also bothered to put up fans and such to cool the area, making it very bearable on the hottest days. At its new location at National Gallery opening in the third week of November, it will be all indoors and obviously it won't be pet-friendly.
We came in for dinner tonight. It was a cool evening after a full days of rains. I didn't bother with alcohol here because the wine list isn't great. I was here to eat. I wanted the restaurant's excellent sambal belachan and rice.
Then there were chap chye and squid otah. We ordered prudently tonight. The man was pleased to see liver balls (hati babi bungkus). Yay! Stomachs were happy, but not stuffed to the brim. The man even ordered an extra portion to take home, along with three other dishes, and an extra chap chye.
