Surf & Turf at Lawry's

Hopped into Lawry's for a decadent Sunday brunch with the friends. But it was down to either beef or lobster tails. The man chose to have meat- a top grade US prime rib in English cut. Like how it should be, very little seasoning. The very beef cut was absolutely delicate and juicy. Mouthwatering. But he would have liked it not to sit in the gravy though. Serving it separately would have been better.

My vote went to the lobster tails from Nova Scotia. Generous portion. The lobster tails were gigantic! And so sweet and succulent. When dipped in the melted butter, it was friggin awesome! Butter. Heh. We all rolled out of the restaurant stuffed to the brim.

i only have a problem with the prices of steaks here. back home, this wouldn't cost an arm and a leg. sigh. so BOtak Jones it still is for me!

Eh..how come the beef looks abit uncooked at the center? IS it suppose to be like this? =S

Dee + Meteor: lawry's now has better food. it used to be quite mediocre.

Rachael: that's why the 'good' cuts are all frm Morton's and Lawry's. Tough for botak jones to cook as it only has a grill and not those giant ovens.

Xia mi mi: yup. I like my steaks done medium. so the centre is just very lightly cooked. red. but no blood.

this place doesn't work as a 'date' venue. unless your date seriously loves meat.

is it as good as The Prime Rib in Baltimore or DC?
That beef just melts in your mouth. I couldn't stop popping their Rump-cut prime rib meat in my mouth. Ooh. That sounds quite racy.

Q: almost as good as the one in DC. still not quite there though. heee...u meat lover....grrrr!
