One Afternoon

I went out with my visitors this afternoon. Things were a little stressful in the office. I was glad for the brief respite.

We headed to the far west of the island to take a look at the industrial estates. Then we rested our feet at Raffles Marina. Saw police cars patrol the near empty roads. We saw that long lorry queue at the Causeway snake past the entrance to Raffles Marina and stretched on further. My visitors were no less well informed than I about the reasons for this excruciating queue.

Inside the marina however, was literally a picture of calm. We could hear the cacophony of vehicle horns in the distance. But it seemed so far removed. We were all happy to amble along the docks.

2nd link @ tuas shouldn't be that bad but it cost a lot more!

are you there for brief respite or some "industrial visits"? ;P i think Labrador Park would be a good alternative for those needing a brief stress detoxification. :)
