No Baby Photos

The colleague is organzing a corporate retreat for the department. She asked me to supply a baby photo for some teambuilding thingy.

I frowned at that email.

I don't have one.

I had lots. But I have lived in several flats and moved a couple of times. I vaguely recall dumping those photo albums somewhere.

I remember deciding that photo albums took up too much liveable space. I believe I needed those racks for bags and books. I never bothered to scan them into digital format.

If my bestie doesn't have one of us, then no one else will have. So I don't have a single baby, toddler or childhood photo of myself anymore.

It doesn't matter to me. So it shouldn't matter to anyone else.

Whatever. I will just tell the colleague I'm not being difficult, but I don't have one.

*shrug*

sometimes, i like to be unfettered. i liken it to 'stop living in the past'. i'm not sentimental that way about photos. so if it's gone, it's gone. :)

Yes, i hate to show baby photos too-esp if i'm the baby.

It seems strange your post is able photos of yester-years. Only this morning i was clearing stuff and came across a few of my baby photos with my parents (my father was born in 1910 - yes, no mistake) and what was more amazing - my grandparents' photos-lovingly wrapped by my mom decades ago.
Photos are not only for us to remember the good/bad times but also for our children to have a sense of where they came from.

Yes, excess baggage perhaps but timeless and precious if appreciated.

guess usually it's the older generation who will keep the pixs. I had less than 5 pixs of my baby pixs that i kept myself. I realised my kid and I look like twins during the tods years! lolz!
