The colleague is organzing a corporate retreat for the department. She asked me to supply a baby photo for some teambuilding thingy.
I frowned at that email.
I don't have one.
I had lots. But I have lived in several flats and moved a couple of times. I vaguely recall dumping those photo albums somewhere.
I remember deciding that photo albums took up too much liveable space. I believe I needed those racks for bags and books. I never bothered to scan them into digital format.
If my bestie doesn't have one of us, then no one else will have. So I don't have a single baby, toddler or childhood photo of myself anymore.
It doesn't matter to me. So it shouldn't matter to anyone else.
Whatever. I will just tell the colleague I'm not being difficult, but I don't have one.
*shrug*

sometimes, i like to be unfettered. i liken it to 'stop living in the past'. i'm not sentimental that way about photos. so if it's gone, it's gone. :)
u have to state that u're not being difficult? wtf?? how staid is your office?! don't they know people don't conform? or in ur office, confirmity is the norm?
Hhahahahah..my mum keep a big box full with my baby till kids photos...i guess..if not because of her ..i wil never have those memories... hahaha!=p
Yes, i hate to show baby photos too-esp if i'm the baby.
It seems strange your post is able photos of yester-years. Only this morning i was clearing stuff and came across a few of my baby photos with my parents (my father was born in 1910 - yes, no mistake) and what was more amazing - my grandparents' photos-lovingly wrapped by my mom decades ago.
Photos are not only for us to remember the good/bad times but also for our children to have a sense of where they came from.
Yes, excess baggage perhaps but timeless and precious if appreciated.
guess usually it's the older generation who will keep the pixs. I had less than 5 pixs of my baby pixs that i kept myself. I realised my kid and I look like twins during the tods years! lolz!
Go check with the bestie!! I'm so curious how you were as a kid! =)
jazzgal: that's how it is for u.
mars bar: no lah. my office is not staid already. i just want to make sure that they know i'm not doing it on purpose.
elaine: then u can ask from her!
anon@12.05PM: ur find is historical!! it's pretty cool. but for myself, i'm not big on heritage n traditions that way. :)

corsage: i tried. bestie doesn't have them either....we had. but all thrown out when we moved around...
V tempted to tell you this - fake it. No one will know anyway, right? :P
But hmm...a pity about the photos but Im sure you dont need the physical copies to remind u of your childhood past :)
lms: heheheheheh. i considered that. but naaah. too troublesome. easier to say i don't have it. heh. then again, i really look the same then and now. everyone will be able to point me out straight lor.
u look the same now as when a baby/kid???!!
