The White Bowmore is here!!! Out of 732 bottles distributed worldwide, The Whisky Store carries a good 15 bottles; 8 have been sold! Ooh la la.
It's a beautiful bottle. It retails at S$7,000 thereabouts. Well, it's a great investment in these times. ;p
We enjoyed the tasting in May. The flavors are unforgettable.
The boys wouldn't hesitate to fork out S$6,000 for guitars. Specifically, another acoustic that comes in the form of a Goodall. But they can't quite reconcile the same amount in return for a bottle of whisky.
We remain plebians. There is no way we'll go above S$600 for a bottle of alcohol, regardless of it being whisky or champagne. (We're not wine aficionados.)
We're no investors. We'll just drink. If there's something to celebrate, sure, why not grab a White Bowmore. Maybe a Black. Otherwise, we'll just drool over it for now. We have other gems to occupy the tastebuds with. :)

Oh my goodness, did you say seven THOUSAND dollars?? I wonder how much is the retail price in Scotland... if I had known, I would have brought back a few bottles when I was studying there. If I were to sell it now, that would have been a GREAT investment! Heehee!!
jomel: YAH! the Black Bowmore is the same. recommended retail price is actually 2500pounds or something like that. don't think it's much cheaper in Scotland..... but that's one country i want to visit and stay in one of those distilleries.
GBP2500 ah? err.. then again, maybe not...
did you know that the Edinburgh city centre is very close to a distillery? (not sure if it was whiskey or stout) And whenever the wind blew, we could smell the malt while walking along the pavement of the high street. I can still remember that fragrance now... it smelt like Malta! Truly intoxicating.
Yeah, I can see how well the Imp would fit into Scotland.. the Scottish Highlands nonetheless, where the finest distilleries are located. Heheh!
jomel: WAHHHHH. i wanna go there NOW!!!!!!!
