Bye Emerald City

It's been such fabulous weather that by now, I've unintentionally gained a tan in late spring Seattle because I forgot to put on sunblock. Win. Short hair rocks too. Didn't need the extra shield of long hair around the neck and ears like last December. There's literally a spring in my step every day.

Glad I took a gamble not to take along a raincoat and wellies. Didn't have to use them. Ran around with a hoodie on the few days it rained. Hahaha. Zipping between buildings isn't considered a walk. Die die also didn't want to use a brolly or a poncho. And it probably rained like four days out of the month of May. Nice. Didn't interrupt plans to get onto the trails and out at the beach. In fact, at the rate my Twitter feed whined and exploded, it definitely rained more in Singapore. Thunderstorms too. Damn sian if Singapore is shrouded in heavy haze in June and July, with no rains and low water levels in the reservoirs.

We've had a swell time in Seattle. The food, the people, the music, everything. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. It's been an easy trip. The city has really shown its charm in every corner. Bye Emerald City, you've truly glittered for us this spring. I love your green and can't wait to return to that lush embrace.
