Hey Washington State!

Took a different route up to Seattle this round. Since it's a work trip for the man, he gets to choose the route. Instead of flying through Tokyo-Los Angeles, we went through Seoul-San Francisco. He's not fond of connecting to anywhere through the rather bare LAX undergoing a ton of construction and renovation now. The more efficient SFO offers similar flight timings, a shorter stopover in ICN, and only 1.5 hours to Sea-Tac. Flights feel kinder. Totally works.

Too Singaporean- the food. The huge difference in the different route is in the food. On SQ of course. The man loved kimchi and the Korean ginseng chicken soup. I'm not hot about Korean food in general. I very much prefer the tasty bento on Tokyo-Los Angeles route. Heh. However, SQ codeshares with Air India for this route. It means spicy food! Yay! There was a really good menu of Indian vegetarian food on the way to Seoul. I opted for that. Whatever offered and eaten was surprisingly fantastic.

Even though I could sleep on the plane, and by that I mean at least 6 hours uninterrupted deep sleep, trust me, the cups of coffee required remain the same. Two cups of strong black coffee over 22 hours. There's something about caffeine that keeps me more or less sedated to deal with any possible jet lag and the inevitable hiccups. Pouch, ziplock, chargers, adaptors, dry shampoo or facial wash, etc. In-flight-travel personal logistics need to be thought through properly, because, security checks. Zzzz.

We tumbled out at San Francisco amazingly fresh to hop on another flight to springtime Seattle to arrive all cheerful and chirpy for a much looked-forward great conversation with the friends, and an incredible seafood dinner.
