Brandi Carlile with the Seattle Symphony

As usual, surfed around for local happenings and found tickets to Brandi Carlile's gig with the Seattle Symphony. Couldn't believe my eyes. YAYYY. Alternative country and folk rock. I've always liked her songs. Held at the symphony's home, the beautiful Benaroya Hall, the acoustics were great.

A concert like this would also include other musicians to fill out the hall. The Seattle Symphony came out grand. The sound was so undoubtedly fantastic. There were also Brandi Carlile's bandmates and co-writers- twins Tim Hanseroth on guitar and vocals, Phil Hanseroth on bass and vocals, and Josh Neumann on cello and piano. Even with so many musicians on stage, the concert still felt intimate. Happy to be warm and out of the cold this evening. Heh.

The whole band just finished their totally-unplugged Pin Drop Tour in October. At this hometown concert, they were totally in sync, giving off relaxed and cheerful vibes. Favorite album so far is probably 'Bear Creek''The Story' was played, of course. It always gets sung. There's also the cover of Fleetwood Mac's 'The Chain'. Two new songs from Brandi's new album to be released in March 2015! Dunno if the titles will change, but for now, they're 'Beginning to Feel the Years' and 'Wherever is Your Heart I Call Home'. Can't wait to hear the new album. Lots of groovy tunes and great melodies. Lovely stories. What a beautiful night.
