Fixed up an easy Christmas lunch with the BFF that didn't involve any sort of alcohol. LOL. She had earlier suggested breakfast after her F45 class, and I was like....NO. That was way too early to be eating. Since we were both at work that day in nearby offices, it was to Plain Vanilla at Telok Ayer Street for lunch.
Grinned when we saw each other. We were both in navy linen clothes and silver flats. Again, coordinated outfits, completely unplanned. We're heading out of town for the holidays, and she's gonna be out traveling after, and must have one more meal together before we split for three months.
Picked out a set of a quiche and a salad; the Entertainer app gave us the second set free. Wheeeee! Lunch was really very decent. There were hot foods available at this outlet, and choices of grilled chicken and such. The BFF was greedy, and for dessert, insisted on a flourless chocolate cake. She has a ridiculously sweet tooth, but she controls it like crazy. We skipped the coffee; we'd get coffee elsewhere quieter, and to chill out longer. We didn't have afternoon meetings and the office didn't need us till 3pm. Hurhurhurhur.
We sat next to a tiny Christmas tree! We thought it was fake till we caught a whiff of those pine needles and touched it. It was real! How stylish. I would love to have one in this size! But I'm not bothered to hunt down one now. I'm not big on Christmas decorations, and definitely not into baubles, colors and lights. I've got a real wreath at home and that is sufficient.
