The whole point of allocating a huge chunk of eating out expenses to O'maJ is because they're a lovely restaurant that holds a Pets Allowed License. It's sad that we can't go there now, but because we really like John and Ange, and we love their food, it's worth it to order takeout. The restaurant has rustled up a takeout/delivery menu and the delivery fees fully go to the drivers.
We've got a few more weeks to go in this 'circuit breaker'; and even after that, restaurants wouldn't open so soon, and there'll be reduced capacity with social distancing measures in place. There'll be more meals to eat from O'maj's kitchen. Our first order from O'maj was nothing special. It was just a regular dinner — beefy tomato soup, spaghetti with pork meatballs, squid ink lobster stock risotto with extra chilli padi and prawns, and a mac & cheese (for the next day's lunch). In this order, Choya didn't get her usual grilled salmon chunks that she would have eaten if she's at the restaurant with us for the night. Hurhurhur. Too bad. She's got plenty of good food at home anyway.
The kitchen is so fond of Choya that she gets her own special Hello Kitty plate. I was like, 'OH DEAR'. I thought we'd share the plate with other cute dogs, but apparently it's for Choya to eat out of, for now. Also, how could we not love a restaurant that made a special reservation plate for us? We miss going for meals at the restaurant, and having Choya next to us. She misses the people there too. The kitchen trots out innovative flavors and cooks great food with a whole lot of heart. We want O'maJ to make it through these tough times.
