We made our way to a few dinners at Toto Seafood. Zi char and its associated fried items and greasy dishes aren't my preferred choice of Chinese food, but I wanted to support the restaurant since it's legit pet-friendly.
The little grass patch alongside the restaurant is sufficient for floofs to pee and run about. Parking is easy on non-crowded days on its ground floor premises. On crowded days, we have to park a few buildings down at their paid publicly-accessible carparks.
It was a crazy weekend, and the restaurant ran out of many items. They didn't have sweet potato leaves stir-fried in shrimp paste in a claypot or sambal kangkong, so we opted for kai lan and broccoli with seafood, and Chinese chives with bean sprouts. The table also had sweet and sour pork in a yam ring, beef hor fun, XO fried rice, and some fish maw soup thingy.
I need to come back on a quieter week-day night to try its Teochew fish soup. Ooof. Haven't had that yet. The food is decent enough, and it's rare for a decent Chinese restaurant to bother to apply for a pets-allowed licence — it's totally worth returning to support the business. Many nights, we've seen at least 70% of the filled tables with dogs chilling out. Most of them doggos are fairly well-behaved. Many are also in prams and in diapers. That's lovely.
