An Enjoyable Lunch

We talk loads over texts, but don't meet as often. When we do, it's such an enjoyable time. The few hours together simply fly by. We all need different friends in our lives for different activities. All of them fulfil different facets of our emotional needs. I'm thankful for everyone's friendship. The link between everyone, is, trust. Once we've built that bond, if our values remain largely similar, our friendship holds steady regardless of how much time has passed.

Lunch at The Dempsey Project with D and I was lovely. I always found the restaurant's prices a tad on the high side, but as long as they keep to this menu that doesn't just offer the usual brunch items, I'll take it. There's something to cater for all palates and dietary preferences. I arbitrarily decided on the food for us. Hurhurhur. I didn't over order.

We had a saffron-asparagus spaghetti, street-style dahi-papdi chaat, and tofu and mushroom gyoza. Those were some tasty vegetarian recipes. For J and I, I added a barramundi crumb fry with sambal mayo. I really liked those 'gyoza' that's really done like Chinese dumplings!

The friends are too indulgent of Choya. They invited her to come along, knowing that this meant sitting out in the heat. They braved the sizzling temps to sit outdoors so that she could come along. There're overhead ceiling fans, but that's no match for the searing heat. The afternoon's humidity slathered all of us in this fine sheen of perspiration after a while.

Grateful for our friendship of many years! Love our conversations via text messages and IRL with Choya's company :)
